Xuzhou Cancer Hospital

The Xuzhou Cancer Hospital, also known as Xuzhou Third People’s Hospital or Xuzhou Hospital Affiliated to Jiangsu University, is the only tertiary cancer hospital in the Huaihai Economic Zone, with 1,150 beds and over 1,200 medical professionals.

The hospital attaches great importance to technological innovation and concentrates on developing key clinical disciplines, among which cancer treatment is a major specialty for the hospital. Xuzhou Cancer Hospital has built the city’s first modern radiotherapy centre and established technological partnerships with influential cancer hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Nanjing. Prestigious experts from across the country pay regular visits to the hospital or come from time to time to provide professional advice on the treatment of patients. The hospital has developed three new operating models: joint consultation on cancer, special outpatient services for cancer patients and outpatient services provided by cancer experts. In 2010, the hospital was officially approved by the National Health and Family Planning Commission to become the designated hospital to receive technical guidance from the Cancer Hospital at the Chinese Academy of Medical Science (Beijing). The latter has since sent management and technical staff to assist with the management of Xuzhou Cancer Hospital and help it gradually become a first-class cancer hospital in terms of technological strength and managerial capacity.

Xuzhou New Health Hospital (Jiangsu Province Hospital Xuzhou Branch)

Jiangsu Province Hospital Xuzhou Branch is jointly funded by Sanpower Group and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the People’s Government of Xuzhou (SASAC). In March 2015, the hospital established a comprehensive strategic partnership with Jiangsu Province Hospital and was officially named Jiangsu Province Hospital Xuzhou Branch. Following international JCI accreditation standards for hospitals and construction standards for tertiary general hospitals, the hospital will strive to be a general hospital of international, modern and garden styles, which will greatly facilitate medical treatment for residents of Xuzhou north district.

Nearly RMB 2 billion was invested during the first phase of the hospital’s construction. The hospital will provide more than 1,500 beds and have distinctive clinical departments including a women and children’s department, cardiovascular disease department, cancer department and integrated medical and elder care services department. Upon the completion of the new hospital, Jiangsu Province Hospital will provide a full range of support in terms of medical team, technology and equipment.
