On November 3, 2014, the Legal Services Research Meeting of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) was held in Sanpower Headquarters. A delegation headed by ACFIC Full-time Vice Chairman Xie Jingrong, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce (FIC) He Changlin, Party Secretary of Nanjing FIC Mao Weihua, visited and inspected Sanpower Group, solemnly received by Yue Lei, Vice President of the Group.
The delegation visited the headquarters building and the showroom of the enterprise, and then held a panel discussion at the international meeting room. Yue extended his warm welcome to Chairman Xie and other visiting leaders, and conveyed the cordial greetings of President Yuan. Thereafter, Pan Jun, Head of the Group’s Law Department, reported to those present in the meeting in terms of the Group’s legal system construction, professional training, non-litigation and litigation. In addition, legal attaches from Nanjing Chamber of Shipping, Nanjing Chamber of Glasses, Fullshare Group, and Jiangsu Carefree Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. also made work reports. During the meeting, company staff in the chambers interacted enthusiastically with FIC officials, with issues centred in the promotion of legal work in private enterprises, the arrangement of full-time legal staff, etc.
Yue noted that, as the tie linking governmental organisations and business organisations, the FIC instills a sense of belonging and security in private enterprises. In particular, in the development of inter-provincial cooperation, work can proceed more smoothly and orderly with the backup of local FICs. Sanpower Group is fairly willing to materialise the legal issues arising from enterprise development and their solutions into cases that will later be submitted to the legal department of ACFIC, thereby contributing to the legal development of non-public corporations.
Xie appreciated Sanpower’s undertaking this research discussion, as well as the work reports from chamber staff and FIC officials. The discussion has highlighted the growing legal needs of private enterprises, consequently requiring national and local FICs to take further initiatives. The discussion is, therefore, rather meaningful.
