On October 30, 2014, the Provincial Private Enterprise Culture Construction and Party Building Experience Exchange Conference was held in Nanjing. As one of the important agenda, Deputy Minister of Jiangsu United Front Work Department and Secretary of FIC Party Committee Yang Yong visited Sanpower Group with a delegation comprising over 180 members from provincial and municipal FICs and the province’s private enterprises. Accompanied by Chairman of Sanpower Group Yuan Yafei, they visited the enterprise culture exhibition hall, feeling the strong momentum that Sanpower’s culture and party building injects into the development of the Group. Vice President of Sanpower Group Yue Lei received and accompanied the delegation.

Since its foundation in 1993, Sanpower Group has been attaching much importance to corporate culture construction and party building. Through exploration and practice, it has crystallised the core corporate culture of “positivity, introspection, balance” as well as “kindness, reasonability, insight”. Moreover, the corporate culture has taken root through a series of measures and activities, thus uniting the staff’s sense of belonging, enthusiasm and creativity, spurring them on to work with might and main for enterprise and social development. Sanpower’s culture construction has also been acknowledged unanimously by the outside — in 2012, it won the honorary title of “Private Enterprise Culture Construction Demonstration Unit of Jiangsu Province”; in 2013 it was named as “Private Enterprise Culture Construction Demonstration Model” of Nanjing. In the Provincial Private Enterprise Culture Construction and Party Building Experience Exchange Conference, Sanpower Group, which was one of the three visits points, showcased its corporate culture and construction achievements to provincial and municipal FICs and private business representatives.

The guests visited the headquarters’ annular hall and the showroom of “Sanpower Home”, listening to Chairman Yuan Yafei’s briefing of Sanpower’s entrepreneurial experience and the five pillar industries, as well as his unveiling of the connotations underlying the name “Sanpower”. Sanpower Group, initially a self-employed business along Zhujiang Road, has established itself as a large modern conglomerate that combines five large sectors into one, including finance and investment, retail and trading, information services, medical and health care, and real estate, with a number of listed companies and over 100 subsidiaries of sole proprietorships and holding companies and more than 80,000 employees worldwide, including 20,000 overseas employees. Chairman Yuan Yafei said that it’s the great values that support the Group — the grand revitalisation of Chinese nation is calling for great national enterprises. “In the process of revival of the Chinese nation, a multitude of world-class enterprises will come to the fore, and I hope Sanpower Group is one of them.” During its inauguration and development, Sanpower Group has been unswervingly adhering to the core values of “positivity, introspection, balance”, side by side with the principle of “kindness, reasonability, insight” for conducting oneself and things, as well as the management philosophy of “blending traditional Chinese Confucianism with modern Western style management”. Such corporate culture provides an inexhaustible motive for Sanpower’s sustainable development.

The FIC leaders present in the meeting spoke highly of the Group’s unique corporate culture and party building achievements. After the visit, many private business representatives also commented that Sanpower Group’s corporate culture construction and party building serve as fairly enlightening referential experience.
