During the Expo, China-ASEAN Liuzhou Investment Cooperation Forum 2014 was held, wherein Li Yuchao expounded several reasons for the Group’s keen interest in this investment hotspot: First, as the second largest city in Guangxi, Liuzhou has the advantage as a transportation hub. Secondly, a combination of favourable policies, namely, the in-depth implementation of Western Development, the construction of Southwest Corridor and Guangxi’s “Dual Drive Strategy”, is bringing development opportunities. Thirdly, since Liuzhou heralds the development of modern service industry as the main direction of its industrial structure adjustment, its services market also anticipates a great potential for development, whereas the main industry of Sanpower Group is exactly modern service industry, thereby fitting well into the city’s industrial orientation.
It is learned that during the signing ceremony of the expo, contracts were concluded for 100 domestic economic cooperation projects, in which the tertiary industry led the signing scale with a total amount of over 2 billion yuan on average. Sanpower Plaza — Sanpower Group’s project in Liuzhou, saw a contract amount of up to 5 billion yuan, which was among the highest.
Sanpower Group emphasises pragmatism, efficiency and robustness, seeking profound and far-reaching development. Back in 2012, Chairman Yuan Yafei had proposed the strategic plan of “Hundred Cities and Thousand Counties”; that is, in the next 10 years, the Group will construct and run one-stop integrated service establishments — Sanpower Plaza — in 100 prefecture-level cities and 1,000 county-level cities. The Sanpower Plaza project in Liuzhou has been finalised within only two months, thanks to Sanpower Group, Liuzhou Municipal Government, and Yufeng District Government’s efficiency and pragmatism, and more to the nation’s current trend of vigorously promoting the service industry. “‘Liuzhou’ is referred to as the ‘Dragon City’, and coincidently dragon is also the zodiac animal of Chairman of our Group. With the two dragons joining hands, Liuzhou is bound to be forged into a bright pearl.” said Director Li Yuchao.
