May 20 - Senior Vice President Yue Lei represented Sanpower Group in attendance at an "Investment Opportunities in Spain" promotional event in Nanjing. The event was organized by Invest in Spain- a public, national-level Corporation that focuses on attracting foreign direct investment to Spain. Mr. Yue met with Invest in Spain Director General José Carlos García de Quevedo to discuss potential growth opportunities. Sanpower Group Foreign Cooperation Management Centre Director Zhang Yingjian and Business Director Ge Qiqi accompanied Mr. Yue throughout the event.

At the event, Mr Garcia de Quevedo introduced Invest in Spain’s business initiatives and also discussed the reforms that Spain’s financial industry is currently undergoing. He noted that the advent of Spain’s new economic growth model make it an attractive time and destination for foreign investment. Mr Garcia de Quevedo also noted that Spain serves as an important bridge between European and Latin American regions and that through investment in Spain, Sanpower could access these two important markets. To encourage this investment, Mr Garcia de Quevedo offered Invest in Spain resources to complete consulting reports tailored to the prospective investors’ targeted sectors.

At a break-off meeting where Mr Garcia de Quevedo met separately with Mr Yue, he expressed his gratitude at Sanpower’s attendance and demonstrated his interest in learning about Sanpower’s target investment sectors, target investment regions as well as intended growth strategy.

Mr. Yue quoted an old Spanish proverb: “Only by writing slowly, can one write beautifully”. In this spirit, Sanpower will eagerly explore opportunities to invest in Spain but will be deliberative in its research and investment decisions. Mr. Yue further noted that Sanpower would be particularly interested in Spanish retail, healthcare and renewable energy. Mr. Yue reiterated Sanpower’s commitment to continuing a dialogue with Invest in Spain and exploring opportunities for cooperation.
