On November 24, Matthew Forbes, British Deputy Consul-General in Shanghai, visited Sanpower Group and had a friendly talk with Yue Lei, SVP of Sanpower Group. As Sanpower’s old friend, Forbes brought the latest news about the progress of the Wildlife Protection Foundation.
Forbes first expressed the gratitude of the Office of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge of the UK. Co-sponsored by Prince William and Yuan Yafei, Chairman of Sanpower Group, the Wildlife Protection Foundation was officially launched last month. At present, the funds donated by Sanpower Group have been invested in the operations of United for Wildlife (UfW) against the poaching in Africa. As introduced by Forbes, the funds have been earmarked to upgrade the facilities of the training centre in South Africa which will be opened in January, 2016. The construction of another wildlife conservation training centre in Kenya will be completed in April, 2016. Forbes warmly invited Yue Lei to attend the centre’s opening ceremony in Kenya at the scheduled time.
As noted by Yue Lei, where there is a will, there is a way. From Yunnan to London, from spring to winter, both sides finally brought their cooperation into being with joint efforts. The implementation of the Wildlife Protection Foundation is in accordance to the intentions and values of both sides. As an enterprise which is accelerating its pace of international development, Sanpower will continuously plan and promote the internationalisation of both its business and public welfare. “We hope to make more achievements in our cooperation during our trip to Africa in April, 2016.”
