On 22 April, the “2006 Turn Entrepreneurship into Investment Gathering” was held in Nanjing. The event was led by Jiangsu Economic and Information Technology Commission and jointly organised by the Jiangsu Sushang Development Promotion Association and the Maker Commune. More than 400 representatives from Jiangsu in three fields were invited to the conference, including entrepreneurs, business turnaround entrepreneurs and investors, as well as financial institutions. The gathering was a feast of ideas in disruptive and collaborate innovation.

Notably, the conference was opened in creative way, using a matrix of moving robots. The Hisap Brookstone novelty robots made a real impression on the audience – they were the “Star Robots” that had appeared in this year’s Spring Festival gala. The sight of the dozens of robots neatly positioned and making difficult and cool-looking moves in step with the images on the huge LED screen won the spectators over and was a highlight of the opening.
