A private dinner held by the Royal Foundation and United for Wildlife was held in Berry Bros. & Rudd, London’s oldest wine shop, on 18:30 at the night of 9 June, London time. Yuan Yafei, Chairman of Sanpower Group attended the private dinner upon the invitation of Prince William.

There were 16 guests invited to the dinner, including the former British foreign secretary William Hague. Yuan Yafei attended the private dinner as the only Asian entrepreneur and was specially seated beside Prince William.

During the dinner, Prince William asked Yuan Yafei for advice on how to encourage more Asian entrepreneurs to take part in the wildlife protection movement. Yuan Yafei noted that he will spare no efforts in acting as a strong backer and supporter of the Royal Foundation’s wildlife protection work. Prince William thanked Yuan Yafei and Sanpower Group multiple times for their efforts and work on wildlife protection and made an appointment with Yuan Yafei to go to Kenya together as soon as possible to visit the two wildlife protection centres with donations from Sanpower Group.

In recent years, Sanpower Group has established a deep friendship with the UK and the British royal family through a series of collaborations in business, cultural exchange and charity work. In autumn this year, the first House of Fraser and Hamleys stores will open in Xinjiekou, Nanjing, one of China’s top shopping district. The Hamleys store will become the toy store with the largest floor area for a single store in China. Prince William expressed his congratulations and noted that he will bring the young Prince George to go shopping at Hamleys.
