Accompanied by Rick Niu, CEO of STARR Strategic Partners, Peter Cohen, one of the most famous Wall Street investment gurus, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the US Cowen Group visited Sanpower Group on 19 October. Yuan Yafei, Chairman of Sanpower Group, met with guests, accompanied by Christine Wong, Senior Director of the Group’s International Affairs Management Centre.

Peter Cohen and his delegation first visited the Sanpower corporate culture showroom, the Brookstone concept store, and the Ageing Service Command Centre and acquired a deeper understanding of the industrial layout and Sanpower’s business development. Cowen Group is a diversified financial services company, which offers investment management, investment banking, consulting, sales, and trading services.

Peter Cohen stated that Sanpower’s development was impressive. Although the businesses are not one in the same, Sanpower’s development concept is very similar to that of his company. He has also invested in healthcare and retail areas and has been involved in telemedicine projects. Peter Cohen believes that although they are looking in different directions, the purpose and idea of both sides match.

Yuan Yafei introduced Sanpower’s industrial layout in three major sectors: health, consumption and finance. Both sides held in-depth talks on potential cooperation projects in the three sectors. Both parties agreed that they will continue to communicate and hold exchanges to seek potential investment opportunities and carry out cooperation on a global scale.
