On May 22nd, Mr. Chua Taik Him, Deputy CEO of International Enterprise Singapore (“IE Singapore”), Mr. Ho Chee Hin, Group Director (China Group) of IE Singapore, and Mr. Shang Yuan Lu, Director of Shanghai Overseas Centre at IE Singapore, led a team to visit Sanpower Group. Both parties exchanged their in-depth views on Broad Health and potential areas of cooperation. It was the second visit by IE Singapore since last April. Yue Lei, Senior Vice President of Sanpower and Jing Tian, Vice President of Sanpower warmly received the guests.

Mr. Chua Taik Him and his team visited the Showroom of Sanpower Home, Brookstone Concept Store and Senior Care Command Centre, and gained further insights into Sanpower’s industrial layout as well as the progress and achievements of its internationalization development.

At the meeting, Mr. Chua Taik Him talked about his connection with Jiangsu, and then gave a detailed introduction to Singapore's geographical location and investment environment, combining with the functions of IE Singapore. He said that Singapore is located in the centre of Southeast Asia with unique economic and cultural advantages. IE Singapore would like to build a large platform for enterprises of China and Singapore, so as to achieve win-win cooperation, advantage complementation and mutual benefits.

Yue Lei warmly welcomed Mr. Chua Taik Him and his team, and spoke highly of them as the pioneers of Singapore-Jiangsu relations for their solid foundation of future development. Yue noted that, in the opportunity period of the Belt and Road Initiative, both parties had a sound basis for cooperation with great strategic cooperation possibilities and advantage complementation. In recent years, Sanpower has been speeding up the pace of going out and designing global development strategies, in which Singapore is an important development base for Sanpower in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2016, Nanjing Cenbest, a listed company owned by Sanpower Group, acquired 20% shares of Cordlife Group Limited, a listed company in Singapore, to expand the cord blood banking business in Southeast Asia. Based on the underlying businesses and talent team in Singapore, Sanpower looked forward to establishing further cooperation in Broad Health.

With an increasingly close relationship, both parties said they would constantly explore overall cooperation in different fields, especially in health, retail and culture, calling for new mechanism, impetus and measures for Jiangsu and Singapore’s cooperation.
