CSB delegation visits Sanpower

civil servants from the Office of the Chief Executive, the Department
of Health, the Transport Department, the Police Force, the Labour Department
and other institutions of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region visited Sanpower Group
(Sanpower) on the sidelines of the State Affairs Workshop for Civil Servants of
the Hong
Kong Special
Administrative Region, to deepen their knowledge of the mainland's economic
development, enhance their recognition of mainland enterprises' operation
mechanisms and management systems, and find out how mainland enterprises align their
operations with the National Thirteenth Five-Year Plan and the Belt and Road
Initiative. Sun Man, Chief of the Division of Asian Affairs, Foreign Affairs Office
of Nanjing Municipal People's Government and Kong Jianfeng, Director of the
Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau Affairs, Nanjing University accompanied the
delegation for the visit. Yue Lei, Global Executive Vice President of Sanpower
warmly received the visitors. Yum Kai Chi, CEO of Hamleys China was present.
The delegation
first visited Sanpower's corporate culture showroom, Brookstone
concept store and Ageing Service Command Centre. After inquiring into
Sanpower's history, industrial plan and unique corporate culture at the
showroom, the delegation members sang their praises. At the store, they showed
strong interest in U.S. novelty products. At the centre, Sanpower's health and
senior care industry and smart homecare services provoked their thoughts.
At the ensuing
meeting, Yum from Hong Kong shared his experience and reflections after joining
Hamleys; Wu Wai-hung,
Assistant Divisional Officer of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department and head
of the delegation introduced the purpose of the visit. At last, Yue extended
warm welcome to the delegation, and introduced Sanpower's industrial structure,
development history and business layout in Hong Kong. He was pleased to receive
the Hong Kong compatriots on the occasion of the opening of the 19th CPC
National Congress. As a "super connector" on the "Belt and Road,
Hong Kong is an important bridgehead and strategic front via which Sanpower
goes global, said him, noting that there is huge potential, multiple measures
and broad paths for Jiangsu-Hong Kong cooperation and there are broad prospects
for the cooperation in fields including economy, experience exchange and
people-to-people contacts. He expected to establish a longstanding contact
mechanism with Hong Kong civil servants to build more links, and seek greater cooperation
and development for the future.
