On November 17, the Awarding Ceremony of "Ten East China Economic Figures of the Year 2017" was held at China (Nanjing) Software Valley. After more than two months of fierce competition including online voting and expert review, Yuan Yafei, Chairman of Sanpower Group (Sanpower) was successfully named one of "Ten East China Economic Figures of the Year 2017".

Hosted by Sina and sponsored by the Administrative Committee of China (Nanjing) Software Valley, the Awarding Ceremony of "Ten East China Economic Figures of the Year 2017" brought together a number of tycoons and attracted wide attention. Li Shifeng, Head of the People's Government of Yuhuatai District, Nanjing; Deng Qingxu, Vice President of Sina and Xie Zuguo, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of China (Nanjing) Software Valley were present. Industrial experts and media reviewers, including Shui Pi, a renowned financial critic and Editor-in-Chief of China Times; Shen Kunrong, dean of the Nanjing University Business School, Zhao Shuming, a senior professor and doctoral tutor at Nanjing University; Wang Wenjian, Editor-in-Chief of Yangtse Evening Post and Zhao Lei, Editor-in-Chief of Modern Express gathered together for the ceremony and witnessed the birth of ten economic figures.

 

As China's economy enters into new normal, the economy of East China represented by Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui has grown steadily. The selection of the East China Economic Figures of the Year aims to review and reward the economic personages with outstanding contributions in this region. It is not only a summary and interpretation of East China’s economy in the previous year but also a prediction and vision of East China's economy in the future.

Since its establishment in 1993, Sanpower has grown out of nothing and developed into a major multinational private enterprise group characterized by information, focusing on modern service sectors, and developing new health, new consumption and other sectors. I am supposed to salute China, a great country and the great era of reform and opening-up. I would like to express special thanks to Jiangsu, Nanjing and Yuhuatai, a fertile land for innovation and entrepreneurship for creating a favorable environment and development opportunity for Sanpower. Everyone should confine himself to his own duties.
