"We are just following the trend of the times." Yuan Yafei said modestly. Believing that "Big Business Seeks Tao", the chairman of Sanpower Group provides job slots for thousands of college graduates, laid-off workers, and people with disabilities each year.

"Every position has its duties"–providing thousands of new positions every year

21 years ago, Yuan Yafei gave up his government position in Nanjing Yuhua District and went into business to deal in computers. When he struck the first deal, Yuan only had two "employees". Presently, Sanpower Group has 80,000 employees across the globe and offers thousands of new positions every year.

Yuan said that every year the Group attracts numerous new staff, which is neither deliberate creation nor for completing the task, "Every position has its duties."

This year, the Group purchased 89% of the shares of the UK's famous chain enterprise House of Fraser Department Store, and hence has extended its business territory from the USA, Israel to the UK. With the number of overseas employees expanding to 20,000, its craving for talents is increasingly strong.

Yuan is convinced that during the enterprise's continuous expansion, it naturally needs a multitude of talents. “So longs as we follow economic laws and do right things, we can develop and provide more employment opportunities.”

"Young people influence the future"–initiating the "Thousand College Graduates Recruitment Program"

College graduates are the major source of Sanpower Group's "fresh blood".

Yuan told the journalist that in recent years, Sanpower Group and its subsidiaries provide positions for 3,500 college graduates across the globe every year. For example, the IT chain enterprise Hisap has initiated the "Thousand College Graduates Recruitment Program" since 2011, which annually recruits over 1,000 college graduates.

In 2011, the Group signed the university-enterprise cooperation agreement with Nanjing University of Finance. This year, the Group co-established the "Sanpower Health Management Academy" with Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yuan asserted that through cooperation with research institutes and universities, the Group will not only offer job opportunities for college students, but also cultivate high-level talents who really meet market needs.

Yuan pointed out that new college students of this generation grow in a healthier and more open era, and their personality should be protected and fully displayed. "Young people profoundly influence the future commercial activities, and the enterprise should get ready for this."

"The sense of social responsibility is more important"–exerting great efforts to solve the employment problem of disadvantaged groups

Zhang Haidong, the standard-bearer of Chinese delegation in Sydney Paralympic Games and Athens Paralympic Games, is the employee of Sanpower Group. Though permanently disabled by poliomyelitis, the fighter won the weightlifting gold medals in four consecutive Olympic Games.

“It’s because of his enthusiastic spirit that we had broken the rule to engage him.” Yuan said.

"Plunging in public welfare undertakings is not only manifested by how much money is donated to charitable organisations, but more importantly by the sense of social responsibility." Yuan told the journalist that every year Sanpower Group takes in people with disabilities, firmly convicted that they will serve special purposes in corporate culture. "Even physically handicapped people can get things done, so why can't those healthy?"

It is learned that in recent years Sanpower Group has provided job positions for nearly 4,000 laid-off workers, disadvantaged groups, and people with disabilities. In 2011, Sanpower Group was named the "National Advanced Private Enterprise for Employment and Social Security".

“Without the development of the country, I wouldn't have developed even with supreme talent, let alone created so many employment opportunities." Yuan Yafei said finally.
