On the afternoon of March 31, the inaugural Singapore-Jiangsu Young Business Leaders Forum was held in Nanjing Normal University. Yue Lei, Director and Deputy Secretary-General of Nanjing Public Diplomacy Association, Standing Committee Member of Jiangsu Provincial Youth Federation, as well as Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, made a keynote speech. Yue mentioned the "Five Moves for Internationalisation" and the future development initiatives of Sanpower Group, which became the focus of attention for the participating entrepreneurs and media. Teo Ser Luck, Minister of State at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (MTI) of Singapore, Cao Weixing, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, and Wan Wenhua, Chairman of Jiangsu Youth Federation, were present and delivered speeches. Young Singapore entrepreneurs and Jiangsu youth representatives attended the forum and conducted friendly exchanges and interactions.
Mr Yue Lei stressed during his keynote speech, "There are plenty of common points and highly complementary strengths as regards Jiangsu-Singapore bilateral strategies, so they have a solid basis for cooperation. The success holding of this forum will elevate the collaboration and exchange between Jiangsu-Singapore business communities to a higher level. The 22-year development of Sanpower Group has proven that the growth and development of an enterprise would not do without international exchange, international cooperation as well as international market. ”
At the forum, the youth representatives raised three questions concerning the Group's overseas expansion. Yue Lei summed up its series of M&As for going global and implementing internationalisation strategy as the "Five Moves for Internationalisation", adding that since last year, Sanpower has been actively adapting to the new economic normal and new changes, and keeping pace with the times to make strategic deployments, so as to comprehensively accelerate the pace of internationalisation. Last year saw a series of of overseas M&As that has vividly interpreted Sanpower's "internationalisation strategy".
So what are Sanpower Group's current initiatives? On receiving the interview, Yue Lei said confidently,"Internationalisation is one of the Sanpower 's core strategies in its development, which will be implemented unswervingly. However, transnational development also faces risks and challenges; we shall neither stop nor advance rashly. "
Yue Lei has been leading the Group's employees to actively practice the Socialist core values, promote the "Nanjing Spirit" of the new period, and actively carry out external exchanges and international cooperation. To date Sanpower Group has established good relationships with embassies and consulates and business representatives from the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, France, Scotland, Luxembourg, Singapore, Japan, to name but a few. Besides, Yue has been eagerly participating in civil diplomatic activities: when Prince William visited China recently, Yue accompanied Chairman Yuan Yafei to escort Willian to launch public welfare activities in Yunnan.
