On December 3, 2014, Vice President of Head Office of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Rikiya Hattori, Minister of Wholesale Business Taidani, and President of Shanghai branch Yoshihisa Akutagawa visited Sanpower Group with their delegation, and held friendly talks with Chairman of the Group Yuan Yafei. Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group Liu Zhenhua, Vice President of the Group Ba Jing, Executive Vice President of the Group Sha Fugui were also present at the talk.
Rikiya Hattori first visited the Showroom of Sanpower Home with the delegation. Learning the leapfrog development of Sanpower Group in recent years and its series of M&As this year, Rikiya Hattori showed his surprise at and admiration for the development achievements made by Sanpower Group. During the talk afterwards, Rikiya Hattori introduced the status of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank in Japan's financial community and its business conditions. He said that Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank ranks the first among Japan's trust banks, and the fourth among Japan's banking institutions. It has also established the branch in Shanghai, and is very willing to carry out financial cooperation with Sanpower Group.
Chairman Yuan Yafei extended his welcome to the visit of Rikiya Hattori and his delegation. He said that Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank participated in the share of domestic Zijin Trust, while Sanpower Group is also a shareholder of the trust. The two sides have thereby formed the basis for cooperation. Chairman Yuan, who has once been to Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, hoped to deepen their understanding and build bilateral trust through mutual visits, so as to establish a multi-level partnership and carry out cooperation around modern service industry.
Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank is the renaming after Chuo Mitsui Trust Bank's absorption and merger into Sumitomo Trust Bank in 2011, as well as one of Japan's largest integrated banks running trust, banking and real estate businesses.
