On June 21, the U.S. Ambassador to China, Gary Locke, cordially met with and hosted representatives of two excellent Nanjing-based enterprises at the Westin, Nanjing. Mr. Zhu Liangbao, Vice President of the Sanpower Group, held a talk with Ambassador Gary Locke. In the talk, Ambassador Gary Locke expressed the will to support fully Sanpower Group’s globalization efforts, especially its investment and development in the United States.
The Sanpower Group is a large modernized enterprise group, noted for its information technology that puts the modern service industry at the core, bringing together investment and financial services, commerce and trade circulation, cultural media, information services operations, and real estate development. It owns two A-share listed companies, Hiteker (600122.SH) and Nanjing Xin Bai (600682.SH), as well as major enterprises like Hisap, Hirealty, Guangzhou Jinpeng, Fujitsu, China News Weekly and China Business Times, and more than 100 holding companies and wholly owned subsidiaries., and has more than 25,000 employees.
Since being established in 1993, the Sanpower Group has adhered to the business policy of “innovation as propulsion; industry as foundation; capital as means”, made persistent progresses, and realized sustained and high-speed growth in the scale of both businesses and assets. In 2012, the Group realized gross assets of more than 30 billion RMB, and annual sales of more than 53 billion RMB.
In 2012, the Group was among the “Top 500 Enterprises in China” (208th) for the 9th year successively; ranked the 30th place among the “Top 500 Private Enterprises in China” and 6th place among the “Top 100 Private Service Enterprises in China”, as elected by All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce; and ranked the 5th place among the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Jiangsu”.
