The declaration and appraisal on the first batch of “Nanjing Time-Honored Brands”, which is intended to promote the “Time-Honored Brands Revival Project” initiated by the nation's Ministry of Commerce, strengthen the protection of traditional culture, and guide old enterprises to accelerate the development, has been successfully completed under the strict review of rating agencies including the Nanjing Bureau of Commerce and the Municipal Time-Honored Brand Association. Nanjing Cenbest was awarded the first batch of the honorary title “Nanjing Time-Honored Brand”.

Among the first selected 44 companies are Cenbest, Central Emporium, Siming Glasses, Wuliangcai Glasses, Baijingyu Pharmaceutical, etc. Catering enterprises accounted for half of the list, including such locally familiar ones as Hanfuxing (duck restaurant), Liuchangxing (a restaurant featuring stuffed buns, dumplings and noodles), Jinchun Fried Dumpling, Lvliuju Restaurant, Baoshunxing Noodle Restaurant and so on. The selection of the first batch of “Nanjing Time-Honored Brands” lasted nearly a year, attracting a total of more than 70 companies that enrolled in the declaration, with 44 finally selected. The selection had clear quantitative criteria; for example, the trade names, trademarks or brands were founded over 50 years or more, must originate in Nanjing, and are typical of Nanjing culture.

The honor illustrates the government and the community’s recognition of the various undertakings of Cenbest, as well as full affirmation of the 63-year store’s years of sustained and healthy development and innovative achievements in its commercial activities. The declaration, initiated by the Administrative Centre of Cenbest Group, was also fervently guided and helped by Municipal Bureau of Commerce and a number of competent authorities. Making the honor as a standard for disciplining itself, Cenbest will strive for greater breakthroughs in the field of services.
