On January 14, 2015, Sanpower Group and Sumitomo Corporation (China) Co., Ltd. signed a letter of intent for strategic cooperation in the headquarters of Sumitomo Corporation in Japan, and the two sides will cooperate in the fields of health care, real estate, and commercial facilities. Zhu Dunruo, Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, Tian Youzhong, Executive Vice President, and Hiroaki Inoue, CEO of Sumitomo, attended the ceremony.

On December 9, 2014, Chairman of Sanpower GroupYuan Yafei met Hiroaki Inoue and his entourage in the Group headquarters, and exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of trade and department stores, real estate, health care, etc. Afterwards, the two sides actively promoted the strategic cooperation. The signing of the letter of intent has marked a solid and important step towards the cooperation between Sanpower Group and Sumitomo.

According to the letter of intent, the two sides will focus on three fields of in-depth cooperation: In the field of healthcare, relevant cooperation will be carried out regarding the functional planning, construction, equipment purchases etc. of Sanpower Group's subsidiary hospitals. In the field of real estate, Sanpower Group has the geographical advantage to introduce Japanese-style residential development so as to carry out the cooperation in joint residential development; In the field of commercial facilities, as regards the commercial facilities that Sanpower Group develops in China, Sumitomo will facilitate the introduction of the cooperation with Japan's business lessee as well as provide the lessee with Sumitomo Group's operations and management experience and technology in Japan.
