July 15 - A delegation headed up by the UK's newly-appointed Consul-General in Shanghai John Edwards visited Sanpower Group, received by Group Chairman Yuan Yafei. Senior Vice President Yue Lei and Vice President Wu Gang accompanied the delegation throughout the visit. Senior Vice President Yue Lei first showed the guests around the Showroom of Sanpower Home, where they learned about the Group's corporate culture and development history.

In his meeting with Chairman Yuan Yafei, John Edwards extended his gratitude to Sanpower Group for supporting wildlife conservation. He noted that Sanpower Group had been keen on assuming social responsibilities and actively participating in social welfare activities. In early March this year, during his first visit to China, Prince William had invited Chairman Yuan to visit the wild Asian elephants in Xishuangbanna, and they had also reached a consensus on co-establishing the Wildlife Conservation Fund.

During the following talk, John Edwards thought highly of the acquisition of House of Fraser by Sanpower Group holding Nanjing Cenbest, and he was very concerned about HOF's business expansion in China. John Edwards also affirmed Sanpower Group's recent investments in the field of healthcare, hoping to introduce more British healthcare professionals and institutions to the Group. Both sides agreed that in the coming time, they will continue to maintain close contact and communication, further expanding operations and investments in the UK.
