August 5 - A delegation of officials from Tianjin Investment Promotion Office, who were headed up by Vice Chairman of Tianjin CPPCC Wang Zhiping, visited Sanpower Group. Group Chairman Yuan Yafei met with the guests and held talks with the latter over the investment opportunities in Tianjin. Yin Long, Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, Shang Hongjun, Executive Vice President of the Group and Director of Chairman Office, Jiang Hui, Director of Chairman Office, and Zhang Yingjian, Director of External Cooperation Management Centre accompanied Yuan during the reception.

Wang Zhiping introduced the major development of Tianjin in recent years. He noted that Tianjin is China's earliest open port as well as the birthplace of the national industry; thus there is something to be proud of in its history. Despite that it has lagged behind Shenzhen and Shanghai after the reform and opening up, in recent years it has become one of the most concentrated areas of investment, with high domestic and foreign gross investments and excellent investment structure. With the transfer of Beijing's "non-capital functions" and the development opportunity of "the integration of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei", Tianjin, the only free trade zone in North China, is entering a period of fast development and ushering in the boom of service trades.

Prior to the visit to Sanpower Group, Wang Zhiping had paid a visit to its subsidiary Lashou.com in Beijing. Expressing his admiration for Sanpower Group's development in recent years, especially its overseas M&A activities, Wang Zhiping introduced to Chairman Yuan Yafei the preferential policies in Tianjin, and invited him to make a field trip to Tianjin later.

Yuan Yafei shared Sanpower Group's latest moves and future priorities with Wang Zhiping, noting that he will send personnel to visit Tianjin so as to explore the two sides' further cooperation fields.
