On November 19th, Cao Xingjian and Fan Aihua, respectively Director and Deputy Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Chongqing Yubei District, visited Sanpower Group, including Sanpower Home and Brookstone concept store. They primarily visited the Ageing Service Strategic Command Centre and investigated Sanpower Group’s ageing services to seek opportunities for cooperation. Shang Hongjun, Vice President and Director of the External Cooperation Management Centre of Sanpower Group, Zhang Yingjian, Business Director of the same centre, received the visitors.

Shang Hongjun began by introducing the overall situation of the senior-care industry present in Sanpower Group, including the businesses of its subsidiaries An Kang Tong, Israel-based Natali, and More. He focused on introducing the industrial chain model of “Internet + Grand Senior-Care” from An Kang Tong, expressing the readiness to build a small-scale project of home-based ageing services in cooperation with the Civil Affairs Bureau of Chongqing Yubei District. Then, Shang Jun, Sales Support Manager of An Kang Tong, detailed An Kang Tong’s operation model, services provided and several methods in terms of its cooperation with the government.

Cao Xingjian expressed his appreciation on the rapid development of Sanpower Group and the strategic vision possessed by Chairman Yuan Yafei, especially concerning the integration of the senior-care industrial chain and healthcare industrial chain, which shows an ability to foresee what might come. Cao believed that the mode An Kang Tong employs is quite feasible, and that he’s willing to provide support for An Kang Tong on policies and hardware so as to introduce its ageing services to Chongqing.

At present, there are more than 6 million seniors out of a total population of 30 million in Chongqing, showing an obvious upward trend. The External Cooperation Management Centre of Sanpower Group has held exchanges with the Chongqing Municipal Government before, and the latter has given special attention to Sanpower Group’s medical and ageing services. Yubei District ranks at the top among all districts of Chongqing in terms of economic strength, and its demand for ageing services is also the most urgent in Chongqing.

Afterwards, both parties held in-depth discussions on how to bring An Kang Tong’s ageing services into being and let the “services for the elderly” truly improve the quality of life of senior citizens. In the afternoon, Cao Xingjian made a special trip to Wuxi and surveyed the home-based ageing services project that was jointly launched by An Kang Tong and the Wuxi Municipal Government, so as to lay a solid foundation for further cooperation.
