On 2 March, Lu Bo, Wang Juan and Zhang Wenting, respectively Chief Executive, Senior Project Officer and Species Project Manager of WILDAID China, visited Sanpower Group. Yue Lei, Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, warmly received the visitors. The guests explored the Sanpower Corporate Culture Showroom and the Brookstone concept store. As wildlife conservation experts, the visitors were impressed by the development of the Group and efforts made in the area of wildlife conservation.
Yue Lei then accompanied the three experts on a tour around the Sanpower Park and the two sides exchanged opinions on wildlife conservation. Lu Bo introduced Yue Lei to the WILDAID and its specific projects, especially a recently completing promotional clip about protecting pangolins. He said that he fully identified with the values of Sanpower Group and felt even more that he was of the same mind as Sanpower after he learned about Sanpower’s initiatives in public welfare and charity. The organisation will bring their expertise into play and cooperate with Sanpower Group on wildlife conservation.
Yue Lei spoke highly of the results achieved by the WILDAID in China. The publicity slogan, “stopping the trade will stop the slaughter”, has burrowed deep into people’s minds. He said that Sanpower Group has actively invested in and taken actions in the field of wildlife conservation for the past two years. After setting up a foundation with the British royal family, the foundation has made early gains in African regions. Sanpower is willing to team up with WILDAID to carry out wildlife conservation work across China.
Moreover, Yue Lei talked to the three visitors about a series of activities that will be held by Sanpower Group on 3 March, which is World Wildlife Day. To raise awareness of problems such as the extinction and hunting of endangered wildlife, a light show themed around wildlife conservation will be performed in Xinjiekou, displaying images of 24 species of endangered wild animals, including the giant panda and Asian elephant. Meanwhile, the first “cardboard café” in China will be themed around wildlife conservation and open at Sanpower International Plaza.
