MBS Signed MOU with Sanpower Group on HR Programs

On April 7, the alumni delegation of the University of Manchester, headed by FU Xiaoxiao, President of the University of Manchester International Education China and Director of China Center, visited Sanpower Group. Senior VP YUE Lei of Sanpower received the visitors in the company of Assistant President & HR Management Center GM Lyu Xiaofeng, Public Relations and Administration Center GM HU Leiyong and alumni of the University of Manchester working in Sanpower Group. During the visit, the two parties signed MOU on HR programs.
The delegation visited Sanpower Family Exhibition Hall, Brookstone Concept Store, and Senior Care Command Center to learn about history and industrial layout of Sanpower Group.
In the witness of top executives of both parties, LYU Xiaofeng, on behalf of Sanpower Group, signed MOU on HR programs with Manchester Business School, MBS. In accordance with the MOU, both parties will discuss their needs for development of leadership and management. MBS will help solicit international talents for Sanpower while providing training for Sanpower employees on career development.
In the discussions, YU Lei shared with alumni delegation of the University of Manchester about Sanpower’s practice in “going global”. He said that Sanpower has responded actively to the Belt & Road Initiative proposed by Chinese government. In recent years, Sanpower is active to implement strategy of overseas development while identifying the route of making global presence with its own characteristics by focusing on synergetic development. By emphasizing on both corporate and cultural “going international”, the route ensures its overseas presence to be more inclusive and universal. At the same time, Sanpower is actively engaged in the charity to combine non-government diplomacy with public diplomacy of enterprise. Sanpower has cooperated with Royal Family of UK to establish the Wildlife Fund while participating in Sino-UK the Tale of Two Pagodas, thus beginning the maintenance and restoration program for the Chinese Pagoda in Royal Botanical Garden, Kew. These moves have conveyed the confidence of Chinese nation in its culture by means of non-governmental diplomacy. Before conclusion, YUE Lei hopes to establish enduring contact mechanism with MBS through this meeting and cooperate with MBS to conduct cultural exchanges and cooperation in charity so as to tell more stories and deliver more voices to the world.
FU Xiaoxiao said the University of Manchester has a history of more than 200 years and has cultivated 25 winners of Nobel Prize. It also has world-class research institutions such as National Graphene Institute, NGI. They hope to, by providing first-class education and alumni network of the University of Manchester in China, make contributions to economy, education and cultural exchanges between the two countries in the era of UK-China exchanges. As the ambassador of the University of Manchester to China, she hoped to bring stories and culture of China to UK and make more contributions to nation-to-nation and people-to-people contacts.
