On August 7, the day of Liqiu (the solar term “start of autumn”), the Sanpower Group 2017 Semi-Annual Work Report Conference and Founding Ceremony of Eight Industry Groups took place at the Group headquarters. Chairman Yuan Yafei made an important speech. President Yang Huaizhen shared the “2017 Semiannual Work Report” to summarize the achievement of the first half year of the group and shed light on the direction of the second half year. Chairmen of Eight Industry Groups made the second half year work report. Senior management teams of all Eight Industry Groups also showed up on the stage. Yue Lei, Global Executive Vice President , was the host of the conference. All Sanpower staff attended the event at the group headquarters and 56 venues in parallel session in other countries including the UK, the US and Israel, etc.

President of the Sanpower Group Yang Huaizhen made the “2017 Semi-Annual Work Report” to review the business and management in the first half year and gave directions on work of the second half year.

Yang Huaizhen pointed out that in the first half year, the group has further taken root strategically in terms of “New Health, New Consumption and New Finance” through coordination on the basis of the initiation, layout and implementation efforts in previous years, and has become more established in management, personnel, market value and industries. She calls on all staff for continue effort of “root-taking” of industries and further implement synergy between industries based on the new organizational structure of the 8 Industry Groups in the second half year, strive to fulfill various business and management targets in advance.

Sanpower Group’s Semi-Annual Conference in this year has remarkable significance as it is not only the review of our previous works, but also the establishment of Eight Industry Groups. During the conference, the Chairmen of Eight Industry Groups elaborated the blueprint of each Industry Group, progress on the first half of this year, key works in the second half of this year and also witnessed the debut of the core management team of each Industry Group.

The founding of 8 Industry Groups is not just a comprehensive summary of the past 24 years of development, a total upgrade of structural adjustment of the current stage Sanpower Industries, but also an overall implementation to achieve strategic goals for the future. Later, the senior management teams of 8 Industry Groups went on stage for a quick self-introduction.

Chairman Yuan said, 2017 is a root-taking year for Sanpower Group. One of the priorities in the first half is the founding of the 8 Industry Groups. In his remarks, Chairman Yuan explained the general logic behind such arrangement. He believes that Sanpower’s future growth relies on symmetric info-sharing, synergy in resources and a forward-looking vision built on today’s achievement. Today’s 3-tier structure of “Sanpower Group-Industry Groups-Subsidiaries” bears significant strategic meaning.

Chairman Yuan pointed out that by the end of the first half, Sanpower Group has fundamentally completed the strategic layout of modern service industries centering on information technologies. The industries have gradually taken their roots and every major subsidiary has achieved remarkable result.

So far, we have a basic industrial layout with clarified organizational structures and needed talents recruited for corresponding positions, laying a solid foundation for a better future. For the second half, Chairman Yuan hopes that all Sanpower employees will keep their dedication to different industries, and collaborations among all the industries shall be further strengthened. Only when we keep an open mind and widely leverage the resource can we be stronger and sturdier.

At the end of the speech, Chairman Yuan again mentioned the four features that one must equip himself with, that is, “a smiling face, a learning mind, a strong heart and a proud body.” He wanted to encourage everyone to keep their pride in the blood instead of showing off, and that we all need to keep learning and reflecting on ourselves in order to improve.
