On August 30, “China’s Vision -- 2017 China Future Economic Forum and the Belt and Road Forum for Global New Economy” was convoked in Hangzhou. Yue Lei, Global Executive Vice President of Sanpower Group was invited to attend the activity and delivered a speech titled “Predict Future with the Latest Trend and Focus on Industrial Development”

 

Organized by China Financial Weekly and Liaowang Institute, a think tank affiliated with Xinhua News Agency, this forum is attended by Wang Zhongmin, executive director of the National Social Security Fund Council; He Yafei, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China’s first G20 coordinator; Zhang Jianping, director of the Commerce Ministry's Research Center for Regional Economic Cooperation; Zhou Qiren, a renowned economist and Professor of National Development Institute of Peking University, as well as experts and entrepreneurs in different fields. Senior executives from Jingdong, Tencent, BGI, iFLYTEK, ofo, DiDi and other companies also attended the forum and delivered speeches.

 

 

Innovation is one of the key words in the forum. To talk about future economy, firstly we need to figure out -- what kind of world are we living in today?

 

The lessons of the past create the path to our future. In the past decades, China has achieved rapid economic growth through leveraging its comparative advantages, mobilizing with its mechanisms and unleashing the power of reform. The rise of emerging countries represented by China, enriches the growth model and path of economic development, and expands people’s imagination about the future of globalization.

 

 

2017 is the first year of the 13^th Five-Year Plan and the eve of 19^th CPC National Congress. It is a critical year for China to overcome the obstacles in economy and promote reform comprehensively, during which each small step could have an implication on China’s future and the world. Against this background, how can Sanpower innovate and grow into a global company to lead China’s companies to go global. To answer this question, Mr. Yue Lei illustrated Sanpower’s practice and experience in globalization in three aspects: align Sanpower’s vision with China’s, grasp latest trend to predict the future, and engage in the Belt and Road Initiative with culture confidence.

 

At the end of his speech, Yue Lei noted that the secret of Sanpower’s success of transformation and upgrading lied in its continuous efforts to “learn from yesterday, do its best in today, plan for tomorrow and prepare itself for the future”.
