Young People Celebrated New Year’s Eve in House of Fraser, Nanjing

Since 17:00 on December 31, 2017, young people in Nanjing started to approach the iconic House of Fraser in Xinjiekou, which is known as the No. 1 Shopping Destination in China, where they would dance and enjoy light shows to say farewell to 2017 and embrace 2018 in Nanjing while enjoying music in the city.

 


On the Christmas Day in December, the British-styled House of Fraser organized a Pink Buying Day in Xinjiekou to celebrate its anniversary and kick off the Christmas purchase fever. While on New Year’s Eve, the combination of hip-hop music and trendy street dance adored by youngsters were presented to young audience.


From 17:00 till 24:00, a number of activities were held there, including the seven-hour gala party, children’s street dance, exhibition match of percussion music champions, laser light show, Rihanna imitation show, mobile shaking for bonus by one thousand people, New Year’s Eve light countdown and other music & dance shows, which aroused rounds of cheers, enabling all people present to enjoy the moments when the New Year arrived. The young people, not feared by the cold weather, gathered in House of Fraser in Xinjiekou, experiencing and feeling the most attractive fashion rhythm in Nanjing.

 


Just before 00:00 of 2018, the hip-hop band said Happy New Year in Mandarin. Immediately after that, the MC led the audience to make ten-second countdown. All people on the square shouted loudly. Towers in Cenbest and the House of Fraser were lit and British bell in House of Fraser rang on time. All the young people there cheered to be heard in the city. They danced and let balloons fly. Young lovers embraced each other and kids looked up in the sky when they were held by fathers on the shoulders. House of Fraser was immersed in the atmosphere of joy and excitement. All the people, in the loud cheers, kicked off the Year of 2018 with blessings.
