On the eve of Chinese New Year, Therese Healy, Consul General of Ireland in Shanghai, visited Sanpower Group to investigate and discuss the "Global Greening" light show on March 17. He Dejian, Vice President of Sanpower Group, Hua Guikan, Senior Assistant President of Cultural Brands, and Mark Logan, Overseas Spokesman for Sanpower Group, met with the consular delegation.

Gao Xiaosong ever talked of Ireland called "I love your orchid" and spoke highly of it in one of his programs. With a long history of literature and solid cultural foundation, Ireland has nourished a host of talents ranging from Nobel laureates in literature to masters in music. Ireland boasts beautiful landscape and kind people. It is said that listening to Irish people speak English brings you a sense of seniority.

Every March 17 is Ireland's National Day and also Ireland's St. Patrick's Day. On this most momentous day, Tourism Ireland hosts the annual "Global Greening" activity, inviting iconic architectures around the world to have green lights on for celebration around St. Patrick's Day. At present, more than 70 landmark buildings and places around the world have joined it.

Therese Healy confirmed the participation of a number of global landmark buildings and tourist attractions this year, including One World Trade Center in New York, City Hall in London, Heron Tower in London and Plaza Catalunya in Barcelona etc. In addition, the Irish Consulate General in Shanghai selects Sanpower International Plaza in Nanjing, China as a candidate landmark.

At the symposium, Hua Guikan showed Therese Healy the world-class technical level of the light show in Nanjing Sanpower International Plaza as well as powerful content production capacity.  Sanpower International Plaza light show is carried out in Nanjing Xinjiekou, the first commercial district in China and held by Nanjing Cenbest Building, Nanjing IFC and International Trade Annex Building. At present, the light show has cooperated with a series of key national, provincial and municipal projects. For example, its publicity works in public campaigns of international organizations including National Memorial Day on December 13, China Peking Opera Arts Festival, Jiangsu Development Conference and Wildlife Rescue.

Therese Healy said that Chinese used red to celebrate the Spring Festival. In Dublin, capital of Ireland, the Chinese New Year is a very popular holiday and the Irish people will celebrate it in various ways. While in Ireland, the green is its symbol. Turning everything into green marks the craziest festival in Ireland. In China's National Day, Ireland celebrates with a red light show. In return, China also celebrates Irish National Day with a green light show. "Global Greening" is a way of not only celebrating but also promoting exchanges and cultural communications between countries.

He Dejian agreed that. He mentioned that Sanpower Group is a large-scale private enterprise group that has grown up after China's reform and opening up. Today, the Group has developed a strategic layout featuring the coordination of "new health and new consumption". In recent years, the Group has been actively responding to the "Belt and Road" Initiative and adhering to the combination of "enterprises go out" with "business brings in", and "business goes out" with "culture goes out", resulting in a number of successful Sino-foreign friendly communications and making room for economic trade cooperation.

Therese Healy said that, after visiting Sanpower Group, she found that there are many business layouts of Sanpower Group at which Ireland is also good. Ireland has strong research capacity in the medical field, especially in infants' milk powder. Now, Ireland is also very concerned about nutrition research for the elderly. "Our aspiration is to make people live healthier, longer and happier. In the future, I hope we can carry out more cooperation in this field."
