Yuan Yafei Attends the Sixth Trilateral Business Summit

On the noon of the local time on May 9, Premier Li Keqiang attended the Sixth Trilateral Business Summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae-in, and delivered a speech at Japan Federation of Economic Organizations.200 representatives in industrial and commercial circles and government of the three countries attended the summit, and Sanpower Group President Yuan Yafei was invited as one of the representative of Chinese entrepreneurs and gave a speech.

Li Keqiang said that China, Japan and South Korea are neighboring countries facing each other across the sea and are major economies of important influence in the world. The economic cooperation and trade between the three countries have strong resilience and vitality and the win-win cooperation has a broad future. At present, the economies of China, Japan and South Korea show relatively good momentum of development. The three-nation leaders’ meeting resumed after a two-and-a-half-year period. This in itself was a remarkable achievement. Li called on all parties to work hard towards a peaceful environment for development, adhere to the path of steady development, respect each other’s core interests and major concerns, and properly handle sensitive issues and differences.


Shinzo Abe said that in the economic field, China, Japan and South Korea are not only important partners of each other, but also the leaders who lead the development of the world economy. (We) strongly call for ensuring a fair competitive environment and further promotion of free trade.


Moon Jae-in said that the emergence of a new important peace turnaround on the peninsula would bring more opportunities for the industrial and commercial circles to invest and develop.He hoped the three countries could enhance the cooperation in joint R&D, energy, health care, environmental protection, disaster-resistance and other fields and achieve substantive results so that people of the three countries could truly enjoy the well-being from the three-nation cooperation.

The Trilateral Business Summit was jointly sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Japan Federation of Economic Organizations, and South Korea National Federation of Economic Men and was held during the leaders' meeting of the three countries of China, Japan and South Korea, which is the highest-level exchange among the economic circle of the three countries.


At the meeting, attendees from the economic circles of China, Japan and South Korea exchanged views on strengthening the three-way economic cooperation and joint investment in the third country, and they also submitted a joint statement to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The statement said that the rise of trade protectionism has become a common concern of the world. The three countries of China, Japan and South Korea will strengthen economic cooperation to promote the development of free trade. In addition, China, Japan, and South Korea will also carry out deep exchanges in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, and robotics.


At the site of the summit, Yuan Yafei spoke on behalf of Chinese entrepreneurs. He said that the three countries have their own advantages in the development of the healthy aged-nursing industry. If the three countries can further strengthen their cooperation and learn from each other to jointly develop medical, health, and nursing products and services, it will not only improve the health and well-being of the elderly in the three countries, but also make more contributions to an aging world.

The report also quoted YUAN Yafei, noting that over the past few years, relations between the three countries have affected the economic development and enterprise development of the three countries. Opening up and cooperation are conducive to promoting the economic development of all parties. Further, Yuan observed that Sanpower is looking forward to more exchanges and cooperation among the three countries in creating a more open and inclusive business environment, enabling companies around the world to close more international deals.
