On May 23, 20 volunteers of the Sanpower Volunteer Society visited the orphans at the Nanjing Social and Child Welfare Institute.

Located in the scenic Zutangshan, Nanjing Social Welfare Institute is a welfare agency under the jurisdiction of the Nanjing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. It houses abandoned orphans and disabled children. Sanpower Volunteers Society gave to the orphanage children necessities such as diapers, mosquito-repellent liquids, hand soaps, and other essential summer supplies; additionally, the orphans received learning-based globes, sand models and other learning tools that help them think and develop intellect.

       After arriving at the orphanage, volunteer members first watched the video introduction of the welfare home. This video tells the story of the growth of the Nanjing Welfare Institute and its hope of returning every child to their warm homes. Chen Jianfeng, a member of the Volunteer Society noted that, as a member of the Sanpower Volunteer Society, he felt proud to be able to support the development of the orphanage.
