June 10, 2015 - Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group Yue Lei warmly received a delegation headed up by Forbes, United Kingdom Consul-General in Shanghai, at the Group's headquarters building, and the two sides conducted an in-depth and detailed discussion on the establishment of the Wildlife Conservation Fund.
Forbes noted that on April 24, Senior Vice President Yue Lei travelled to London, where he met with Ms Victoria Hornby, Director of the Royal Foundation of the UK, to explore the progression of the Wildlife Conservation Fund. Authorised by Ms Hornby, today's visit was meant to further promote the establishment of the Fund. Forbes introduced the concerns of the wildlife conservation union: monitoring the hunter active areas, reducing the demands of wildlife products, reinforcing the wildlife protection laws and regulations, as well as using on-line media to advocate wildlife conservation philosophy to the public. Mr Forbes also brought several wildlife conservation projects for Sanpower Group's reference.
Yue Lei said that during its 22 years of history, Sanpower Group has been adhering to the concept of benefiting society with its development fruits, with its charity spending totalling close to 300 million yuan. Sanpower Group is currently at the crucial stage of transnational development. And as a Chinese private enterprise that pursues international development, the Group will consider and plan both its business internationalisation as well as charity internationalisation. During his trip to London, Yue Lei has arrived at a preliminary agreement with Ms Hornby on the establishment of the Fund. This time, Mr Forbes pushed it further by bringing the wildlife conservation projects, on which Sanpower Group will conduct in-depth research so as to facilitate the establishment of the Fund.
