Aug. 12 - Yue Lei, Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, met with Kumar Ray Sudhansu, commercial consul of Consulate General of the Republic of India in Shanghai, at the Group headquarters.
Yue Lei noted that as the two largest developing countries, China and India share a lot in common. Just as China has China Dream, so India also holds India Dream. Both dreams are closely related and integrated. When meeting with Indian Prime Minister Modi this May, General Secretary Xi Jinping recommended that the two sides tightly link up their respective development strategies so as to achieve complementation and mutual assistance at a higher level. Besides, the two should continue to be the "double engine" for regional and world economic growth and work together to promote regional economic integration, so as to make positive contributions to global economic growth. Yue Lei stressed that the Indian people have always been good friends, good partners and good neighbours of the Chinese people, and that there are broad prospects for bilateral cooperation in the future. He hoped that the senior officials of India would stop by Sanpower Group when visiting Jiangsu.
Kumar Ray Sudhansu agreed with Yue Lei's view of China-India relations, saying that at present China and India are strengthening exchanges in various fields, and economic cooperation especially is developing by leaps and bounds. Sanpower Group is an enterprise with diversified businesses, while India's good infrastructure and manufacturing base can benefit the Group's investment. Consulate General of the Republic of India in Shanghai is willing to help Sanpower seek investment opportunities in India.
