To seize the high ground of the healthcare industry

Sanpower Group is a highly informationized privately owned conglomerate that focuses on modern services. It benefits from the synergy between its two pillars—New Health and New Consumption. The total assets have exceeded RMB 120 billion and the total sales stand at RMB 130 billion. It has made the list of “top 500 Chinese enterprises" for 13 consecutive years.

Big Health is one of Sanpower’s core businesses in recent years. It moved into senior care in 2008, set its sight on An Kang Tong, then China’s largest home-based elderly-care company and completed the acquisition in 2012.

In 2014, Sanpower Group acquired Natali, the largest private healthcare and homecare service provider in Israel, a country along the “Belt and Road”. It serves more than half of Israel’s elderly population. It provides all-day monitoring and diagnosis, emergency medical services, safety and assistance services and home care, to name just a few. Tele-medicine and emergency medical services have a market share of over 50%.

“At present, the Chinese economy is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading. Acquiring foreign outstanding enterprises and bringing in their advanced operational model and management expertise are shortcuts for domestic enterprises to leapfrog their competitors and transform and upgrade fast." said Yuan Yafei, the Chairman of Sanpower Group. He added that Sanpower didn’t acquire overseas real estate or mineral resources, but brought in advanced brands, management and business models.

He proposed a new concept of "defining the future with the future", that is, "the best thing in the world is the direction of our country's future development, the acquisition of these things is the equivalent of the establishment of our own future."

After the acquisition, Sanpower Group introduced into China Natali's leading technology and management know how in home care and telemedicine, giving the elderly access to advanced old-age care. It is also consistent with the national policy of supply side reform in senior care.

Attaching Equal Importance to Cultural and Business Exchanges

Nanjing Cenbest, as ubsidiary of Sanpower Group, acquired the British retailer House of Fraser in 2014. The Group then conducted cultural exchanges and engaged in public welfare with the UK, which have been very fruitful.

2015 is Sino-British Cultural Exchange Year. In October 2015, Yuan Yafei and the Duke of Cambridge signed an MOU for the Wildlife Conservation Fund. The fund was launched soon. This is not only the first international cooperation between the British royal family and a Chinese company, but also the first fund to protect wildlife jointly set up by Prince William and Chinese

It is because of the establishment of the fund that Sanpower Group has drawn attention from British society and international environmental protection organizations, receives a number of positive appreciations from different parties, and has increased the sense of recognition and identity for British employees for Sanpower Group. Yue Lei, Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, was also nominated the first Chinese ambassador for United for Wildlife by Prince William.

Kenya is China's "Belt and Road" fulcrum in Africa. Sanpower doesn’t have a commercial presence there, but has launched public welfare projects. The Wildlife Fund came in handy. In the first phase of the project, two wildlife observation sites were established in Kenya and Botswana. In the next step, two other observation sites will be built in eastern Africa.

On September 23, 2016, Sanpower worked again with the British Royal Family during the Nanjing Week of London Design Festival.
