On 9 March (London time), Chu Yonghong, Deputy Mayor of Nanjing, led a delegation to visit the British quintessential department store House of Fraser (Oxford Street Branch), accompanied by Yue Lei, Senior Vice President of Sanpower Group, and Frank Slevin, Executive Chairman of House of Fraser.

The delegation listened to the introduction to the house brands, own-bought mode, online POS terminals, online shopping and offline delivery areas and other characteristic business items of House of Fraser. After that, Chu Yonghong spoke highly of House of Fraser’s business pattern combining its house brands and own-bought mode. He was expecting House of Fraser to open its first flagship store at Xinjiekou, Nanjing, China this autumn.

In November 2015, Huang Lixin, Member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to visit House of Fraser. This time, Deputy Mayor Chu Yonghong visited London again, hoping to further promote the economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between Nanjing and London. As noted by Yue Lei, the project of House of Fraser’s settling down at Xinjiekou is in smooth progress. This first flagship store of House of Fraser in China will be open on 1 September, 2016. It will naturally enhance the appeal of “the No. 1 Shopping District in China”.
