On 22 June 2016, Sanpower Group’s mobile health management platform company More Health held a conference to officially launch its “MORE ECO” Broad Health industrial chain ecosystem strategy. By connecting to a number of global smart hardware devices, the platform enables users to monitor their and their family’s health data, provides personalised health risk assessments and health solutions and allows access to premium third party health and senior-care services for users with health risks.

CEO of More Health Kong Fei said, “The More Eco plan is not an upgrade of the app, but an open internet health ecosystem chain offering mutual benefit to partners.” Across the whole ecosystem chain, More Health will develop an internet health chain in synergy with the strategic resources in Sanpower’s broad consumption, broad health, broad finance groupings and with industries such as smart wearable devices, insurance, physical examinations and medical services. The ecosystem chain built by the More Eco plan will be able to eliminate to the greatest extent communication costs and data barriers between industries and make partners in different fields each other’s customers, sharing data and resources and truly creating value and mutual benefit in the internet-enabled healthcare sector.

At the conference, More Health also released a brand new algorithm called the “health behaviour index” (or the “M value” for short). More will manage users’ health behaviours using this M value. It is the first health management platform in China having a dedicated team to extract a core algorithm related to healthcare management and to regulate healthy behaviour using a numerical value. A number of patent applications are being submitted relating to the M value.

There are many manufacturers who want to create an ecosystem platform in the field of internet-enabled healthcare, but it is very difficult to create a comprehensive healthcare service based on big data by adopting a closed model. More Health chose to develop a platform that uses a core algorithm and retail channels as a starting point in coordinating data and services in an open model, which is beneficial for the expansion of the healthy development of the whole ecosystem chain.
