“Season of Jiangsu-HK friendship—For the Youth” was held in Hong Kong on July 8, in celebration of 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return. This event was hosted by Jiangsu Overseas Friendship Association, and organised by Federation of HK Jiangsu Community Organisations, Jiangsu Youth Federation, Hong Kong United Youth Association and Hong Kong Association of Youth Development.

Yue Lei, the Global Executive Vice President of Sanpower Group, was invited to attend the event and made important remarks.

In the meet and greet session for Hong Kong college student representatives who are interns in Jiangsu, Lai Chinhsuan, an intern from Hong Kong, shared his experience working in Sanpower Group and what he has learned about corporate culture and international strategy of the Group during his internship.

Later, Yue Lei, the Global Executive Vice President of Sanpower Group gave his observations of the Group’s corporate culture and international strategy in response to Lai’s sharing. He said, the culture of Sanpower facilitates its internationalized business, and such internationalization also galvanizes improvement of Sanpower culture. The two factors supplement each other for further growth. In different development stages, Sanpower emphasizes localization of skilled personnel and design of mechanism at the same time. It is not just about integration or acquisition. It is about collaboration and cooperation.

Yue Lei also said, nowadays with ever-closer cooperation between Jiangsu and Hong Kong, as one of the first bases for Hong Kong students to work as interns in Jiangsu, Sanpower Group is increasing the effort in collaboration with all industries in Hong Kong in more depth. Recent years have witnessed the increasing need for skilled personnel with the Group’s fast paced internationalization. Sanpower has 3 overseas internship bases in the US, Isreal and the UK, which is a great opportunity for students to make free choices of going eastward or westward. In the meeting, Yue Lei sent the message for the thirst to recruit more talents and encouraged HK youth to join Sanpower in the future. He also promised that any interns from Hong Kong will be first considered in the Group’s on campus job fair around the world.
