On December 21, the Jiangsu-Uzbekistan Entrepreneur Forum, hosted by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments, was held in Tashkent. Zhang Jianchuan, Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan and Zhou Changqing, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province attended and addressed the forum. On the Uzebekistani side, officials from the Ministry of Economy and the State Committee for Investments, and executives from Uzbekistani chemical, energy and tourism companies attended and addressed the Forum. Chen Xiaohua, Vice President of External Cooperation at Sanpower Group attended the forum upon invitation and gave an interview to Oʻzbekiston Milliy teleradiokompaniyasi (MTRK). During the interview, he introduced Sanpower and its business portfolio to the Uzbekistani people.

 

 

 

 

According to Chen, in Sanpower’s engagements in the healthcare sector, the Group has followed the principle of putting people at the center, and committed itself to offering health and health management services at every stage of one’s life. Uzbekistan's high population density, abundant natural resources and livable environment fit well with Sanpower's strategy in the healthcare sector, he noted, adding that the there’s plenty of space for cooperation between Sanpower and Uzebekistan in this area..

 

 

 

China and Uzbekistan have maintained good cooperative relations. During Uzbek President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev's visit to China in May 2017, the two sides forged an all-round strategic partnership featuring sincerity, mutual trust, mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. The two sides enjoy close high-level contacts and solid political mutual trust. Efforts are being made to strengthen strategic synergy as the two countries jointly plan about the focal fields, key projects and future of bilateral cooperation, and jointly tap cooperation potential, thus pushing forward China-Uzbekistan cooperation in the Belt and Road construction.

Furthermore, Jiangsu is committed to advancing China-Uzbekistan relations. Wu Zhenglong, Deputy Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Jiangsu Province and Chen Zhenning, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province has gave instructions on multiple occasion about organizing Chinese delegations to visit Uzbekistan. In June 2017, Chen led a delegation of Jiangsu's enterprises to Uzbekistan and was received by Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister Kuchkarov.
