Overseas Students of Beijing Foreign Studies University Visit Sanpower Group

On May 15, Liu Peng, secretary of general party branch of the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University, led 67 overseas students from 28 countries to visit Sanpower Group. Mark Logan, General Manager of the International Brand and Affairs Management Center, and David Pedersen, Human Resources Manager, met with the overseas students.

The overseas students visited Sanpower’s exhibition center, Brookstone concept store, and Ageing Service Command Centre to learn the overall growth and business landscape of the Group.



During the meeting, Mark Logan introduced the development history and corporate culture of Sanpower Group and shared his perspective of working in Sanpower as a non-Chinese. Afterwards, Liu Peng expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality from Sanpower Group. This is the second time that he has led the overseas student group to visit Sanpower. He said they were deeply impressed with the fact that Sanpower Group built itself into such a scale within only two decades; notably New Health and New Commerce demonstrated tremendous vigor. The purpose of this visit is to understand the Sanpower way of industry transformation, its advantages as a multinational enterprise, its core competitiveness and its initiatives for social responsibility. The development history of Sanpower Group's entrepreneurship, innovation and transformation makes a valuable business case.

In the interactive session, overseas students competed for opportunities to ask questions about Sanpower Group’s corporate culture, development planning, strategic structure, technological innovation, corporate responsibilities and other issues. Mark and David each gave answers with carefulness and patience.



In closing, Liu Peng once again expressed his gratitude to Sanpower Group and strongly praised the humanistic care of the Sanpower members. He expressed hope to cooperate with Sanpower Group as early as possible. The overseas students were also deeply touched and expressed the hope to have the opportunity to join the Sanpower Group in the future.


Mark and David encouraged international students to increase their knowledge of Chinese private enterprises by working in dynamic and competitive Chinese companies. They believed that the overseas students can learn many things and grow quickly.


Within 24 hours after the meeting, Mark received a lot of e-mails from overseas students. He answered all the questions carefully in order to be of help for the overseas students' future development.
