Collision of Perspectives to Empower the Intergraded Brand Development
At the conference, intriguing speeches were given concerning various trending in-field topics, such as “national branding strategies and brand globalization”, “brand influence and propagation”, and “how to make brands appeal to younger audience”. The speakers included Professor Yu Mingyang, the director of Brand Strategies Research Center at Shanghai Jiaotong University and Chairman of China Scheming Research Institute; Mr. Zhong Yebin, COO of the renowned Chinese integrated marketing agency PHONCOM; and Li Chunsheng, Strategy Director of Admen Group.
One of the top 10 brand specialist in China, Xu Haoran - who is the chairman of China Brand Society Organization Association and president of Jiangsu Brand Association - presented a themed speech Major Events Regarding Jiangsu Brands in the Past 4 Decades, reviewing the stories of Jiangsu brands from 40 years of Opening and Reform, which witnessed the glory and dream of Jiangsu brands in the wave of Opening and Reform.
In an attempt to empower the integrated brand development, dozens of scholars shared and exchanged with industry gurus views regarding various topics, such as “how brands can break through in the new economic trends” and “how brands can expand influence more efficiently in the age of All-media”.
Launch of the “Yangtze River Brands Initiative”
Bringing Brands from the Yangtze River Banks to the World
In order to further implement the strategy of a rising power in brands, build the Great Wall of national economy, and to increase the Yangtze River brands’ innovative abilities, brand influence and competitive power as well as to bring them to entire China and the globe, Jiangsu Brand Association has teamed up with TV and Broadcast stations from 13 cities in Jiangsu Province and national brand authorities to launch the “Yangtze River Brands Initiative”, with the mission of integrating industry powers and media resources to empower brand development.
“Yangtze River Brands Initiative” candidates include brands that have won the title of China’s Well-Known Trademark, National Quality Prize, Governor’s Quality Prize, Mayor’s Quality Prize, Jiangsu’s Top 50 Native Brands, In-province Well-Known Trademarks, In-province Well-Known Brands, In-province Well-Known Agricultural Brands, China’s Top 500 in Brand Value, China’s Time-honored Brands as well as native Jiangsu Brands with a high in-field rankings, in-province public brands, and cultural brands.
At the ceremony, the “Yangtze River Brands Initiative” was launched together by Xu Ning, Vice President of Jiangsu Party Committee’s Propaganda Department; Chen Yong, member of the Nanjing Standing Committee and Chairman of Propaganda Department; Yin Xiaoping, Vice Director of Jiangsu Provincial Television Bureau; Ke Lingwu, Deputy Inspector of Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, Chen Yuanhu, Vice Director of Nanjing City Industrial and Commercial Bureau; Gao Shunqing, Party Committee Secretary of Nanjing Broadcasting and Television Group and TV station Supervisor; Yu Mingyang, Renowned economist and Director of Brand Strategies Research Center at SJTU; Xu Haoran, China’s top 10 brand specialist, Chairman of China Brand Society Organization Association and President of Jiangsu Brand Association. The launch also symbolized that media, the industries and academia will work together to empower the brands in integrated development.
