New ideas, new products: Sanpower’s “Smart Living” pilot store coming soon

After almost a year of efforts of the preparatory team of Brookstone China, Brookstone has accelerated the pace at which it will introduce its novelty products to the China market. Since Sanpower Group’s Executive Vice President Gao Huan assumed the role of Head of Brookstone China’s preparatory team on April 22, the team has held several seminars regarding business orientation and product selection. On May 13, the team held a conference at Sanpower’s headquarters in Nanjing to introduce "Smart Living" products for the first time, with directors from Brookstone America, Oregon Scientific, Hisap and Funtalk Telecommunications in attendance.
During the conference, Gao described the challenges facing China's retail industry as well as the new business opportunities "Smart Living" products will present. He also unveiled their new business model; "Smart Living" will serve as a platform for the introduction of novelty products and new consumer experiences to bring more customers to our retail stores. Product specialists from Brookstone and Oregon Scientific then went on to demonstrate the products one by one, allowing the attendees to gain a full and deep understanding of the novelty products.
In the interactive Q&A session, the attendees exchanged ideas on product features, retail experience, and the prospects of the new business model of "Smart Living". A consensus was reached that ”Smart Living” technologies and products are in a position to improve people's lives by bringing more joy to consumers and therefore it presents an enormous business opportunity.
This conference marked the beginning of the team's work in this next phase of development. The team is making full use of every minute to advance the completion of Smart Living's pilot store and the preparation for the first “experience centre” is also well under way.
